Pissed Off Colonel Boycotts Beer

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A man in New York is calling for a beer boycott in the days leading up to Super Bowl XLIII (Feb. 1).

“Colonel Patton Lee Beaugus” is mad as hell about the “un-Americanizing” of beer giant Anheuser-Busch, who sold out to Belgian brewer InBev a couple months ago and has since fired more than 1,400 American workers.

Since the Belgian take-over, the company has raised prices on their suds, which include Budweiser, Bud Light, Becks, and Stella.

Beaugus argues that the company is no longer American and figures they should just start calling Budweiser “Belgweiser” instead.

He’s encouraging a “Super Beer Boycott” of their brews through Super Bowl Sunday, and suggests people opt for real American beer like Sam Adams or Sierra Nevada instead.

He hopes the “Belgweiser Rebellion” shows that the nation is willing to fight for American suds, and more importantly, American jobs.

Beaugus recognizes that rejecting a Bud during the Super Bowl will be tough, and suggests people turn away from the TV during those catchy Budweiser commercials so they’re not tempted.
