Celebs Hunt For Their Thanksgiving (Nov. 27) Feast

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Not everyone goes to the market for their Thanksgiving (Nov. 27) ingredients.

In fact, many celebrities prefer to pick up a rifle and go hunting for their Turkey Day dinner.

Michael Petersen, who hosts Disney Channel’s Movie Surfers, hits the Wisconsin woods for his holiday meal.

He says,“A lot of people may not like it, but I go deer hunting. That’s the family tradition because deer hunting season opens up at the start of Thanksgiving break.”

Petersen says his grandpa usually sizes up his capture, but it’s hard to impress old gramps.

He laughs, “He’s got a big one on the wall, so he’s like, ‘I remember when I shot that one, and it’s nothing like yours!’”

Men in Trees hottie Scott Elrod also shoots his own dinner while visiting his family’s hunting house in Nebraska every Thanksgiving, but prefers shooting pheasants and quail.

Iconic TV dad Alan Thicke celebrates Turkey Day six weeks early because he’s Canadian, and jokes that he and his offspring go out and “club baby seals and have that for dinner” as a tradition.
