John O’Hurley Reports For Doggy Doody

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actor John O’Hurley will never forget the smell of a Great Dane’s droppings.

O’Hurley – who played J. Peterman on Seinfeld – has been co-hosting The National Dog Show Presented By Purina for many years, and one crappy on- set incident always lingers on his mind.

Once during the prestigious pooch competition, a classy, purebred Great Dane took a dump right in front of him.

O’Hurley recalls, “He left us a prize, and as you can imagine, it was both the size and smell that can only come from a Great Dane.”

Other bizarre moments at the Dog Show happen when O’Hurley observes the dedicated dog owners.

He says, “A lot of times they match their outfits to their dog and even look like their dog. There’s a stage mother quality to these owners. The dogs can’t groom themselves, so there’s a lot of primping going on backstage.”

The National Dog Show airs on Thanksgiving (Nov. 27) on NBC.
