Charo Adopts Bull, Fights For His Rights

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you mess with the bull, you’ll get Charo’s horns.

The Flamenco firecracker has teamed up with PETA to stop bullfighting in her native Spain because she finds the outdated practice “barbaric and cruel.”

In addition to writing to the Prime Minister of Spain to ban bullfighting, Charo has just released a music video to her dance hit, “Espana Cani: Dance, Don’t Bullfight,” which follows the valiant escape of a baby bull named Manolo from a doomed life in the ring as he searches for Charo.

Charo got so attached to the bull while filming the video, she ended up adopting him.

She built Manolo a living area in her Beverly Hills backyard and has been speaking Spanish to him so he’ll be bilingual.

Charo says Manolo runs and dances to the beat of her music, and she feels like a proud mother.

She laughs, “I bathe him and give him his bottle. He feels like my son. He follows me everywhere!”

When she goes on tour, Charo leaves pre-recorded messages of her instructions to Manolo so he doesn’t miss her.
