Rub Thanksgiving Leftovers On Your Face

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Instead of feasting on Thanksgiving (Nov. 27) leftovers, rub them all over your face.

New York-based facialist Elena Schell says Turkey Day scraps can improve a person’s skin and give it a special glow.

Schell recommends taking the fat trimmed from a turkey, heating it in the microwave, and using the oil that seeps out of it as an alternative to face cream.

She explains, “It’s good for very dry skin. If you’re having Thanksgiving up in a mountain somewhere and forgot all of your beauty products, you can use this for a few days.”

Mixing that same fat with sweet potatoes and applying it as a mask also makes for an amazing, nutritive facial, because the fat moisturizes while the veggies provide vitamins.

Schell also says pumpkin juice can be used as an aftershave for men and as a toner.

However, Schell advises people to wait for dinner to end before slathering food on their face because it’s poor table etiquette.
