Kelly Packard Buys First Car With Game Show Cash

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actress Kelly Packard bought her first set of wheels with a cash prize she won on a game show.

Packard – the beach babe from California Dreams and Baywatch – was a contestant on Card Sharks when she was 12 years old and won $3,200 on the show.

Because the prize was a hefty sum for a pre-teen, the show and Packard’s grandma made her put it away in a savings bond until she was older.

But the cash stash paid off once Packard turned 18.

She explains, “By then it had doubled and I was able to buy my first car! It was a ’92 Acura Integra and I felt so cool driving it!”

Packard bought her wheels right around the time she started filming California Dreams and cruised to work in style.

Since her big win, she’s always loved game shows, and is hosting one called GSN Live, weekdays on GSN.

Packard is still competitive at games and plays to win – even against her two and four-year-old – and admits to getting slightly annoyed when her tots don’t quite understand the rules to Candyland.
