Caroline Rhea Has A Big Gay Fanbase

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Comedienne Caroline Rhea is bewitched over her big, gay fanbase.

Rhea – best known as Aunt Hilda on Sabrina, The Teenage Witch – now stars in Sordid Lives: The Series, a quirky show on Logo, a network targeting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender viewers.

Rhea believes she has a built-in fanbase on the network, because, in her words, “Gay men and women absolutely loved Sabrina, The Teenage Witch.

She recalls an episode of Sabrina in which RuPaul guest starred, where he broke down just how gay the series was.

She explains, “RuPaul told me that Sabrina was really about two lesbian aunts, a witch, and a gay tranny cat.”

Rhea says RuPaul’s assessment was pretty believable since, as she puts it, “The aunts were 650 years old and not married, and the cat was really high-maintenance.”

She hopes her gay fans enjoy seeing her on Sordid Lives, in her new role as a naive, soap opera-obsessed, trailer trash neighbor.

Sordid Lives: The Series airs Wednesdays on Logo.
