Janice Dickinson Stands Up For Transgender Models

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Supermodel diva Janice Dickinson is totally down with transgender models.

Dickinson – the self-proclaimed world’s first supermodel – is all for more tranny models hitting the fashion runways, and even worked with a transgender model herself in Paris back in the 1980s.

She says the model worked it just as well – if not better – than female models, except for a time when something suddenly came up.

Dickinson recalls, “One time she got to the end of the runway and got very visibly excited, which shocked everyone. She knocked their socks off!”

She looks forward to trannies becoming more accepted in the modeling industry but notes, “The modeling world needs to speed up a bit for that.”

She’s impressed Tyra Banks has a transgender model on the current season of America’s Top Model and adds, “It’s wonderful!”

Dickinson deals with her own models on The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, which airs Tuesdays on Oxygen.
