Gloria Reuben Prefers Courtroom Over ‘ER’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Former ER actress Gloria Reuben will take working in a courtroom over an emergency room any day.

Reuben – known for her role as Jeanie Boulet on ER – stars in TNT’s new legal drama Raising the Bar, in which she plays head of the public defender’s office.

Her courtroom gig is much easier than ER – and a lot less gross.

Reuben admits she hates hospitals and the sight of blood makes her “knees weak,” which was tough during her time on ER.

She says, “Everytime they’d roll out a dummy on a gurney with fake blood all over its abdomen my knees would go weak! I’d definitely make a better lawyer than a doctor in real life.”

She also confesses that learning lawyer jargon is easier than doc talk which, in her words, “Is like Chinese to me!”

Reuben is comfortable roaming the halls of courtrooms and likes the idea of justice being served.

She’s also a huge fan of Law & Order – but not just for the justice part.

She says, “I can watch [series star] Sam Waterston do anything. I’ll watch him read the phone book – I don’t care!”

Raising the Bar premieres tonight (Sep. 1) on TNT.
