David Carradine Fights On Command

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Kung Fu legend David Carradine is such a martial arts pro, he can fight on command.

Carradine – best known for playing Kwai Chang Caine in Kung Fu and Bill in Kill Bill – stars in Spike’s two-part movie, Kung Fu Killer, in which he showcases his martial arts moves.

The 71-year-old actor did many of his own stunts for the action-packed flick, including a “forward flip” that, in his words, “No one thought I’d be able to do.”

Carradine choreographed many of his fight scenes, but didn’t practice much before filming because he enjoys impromptu scrapping.

He says, “I don’t rehearse the moves until right before we shoot. I learn them pretty fast though.”

On-the-spot fighting is nothing new for Grasshopper.

When he was in Kung Fu, he’d learn the fights during his lunch break on the set, and for his big butt-kicking scene with Uma Thurman in Kill Bill, he learned the moves that same morning they shot it.

Kung Fu Killer airs this Saturday (Aug. 17) and Sunday (Aug. 18) on Spike HD.
