Patty Smyth Is An 80s Fashion ‘Warrior’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – 1980s rocker Patty Smyth has always been a fashion “Warrior.”

Smyth and Scandal – known for their 80s hits “The Warrior” and “Goodbye To You” – have reunited and plan to tour and record new songs very soon.

Smyth says the band is “better than ever,” and although they’ll revive their classic jams, they won’t revive their funky 80s clothes.

She says, “I’m so not bringing my ‘Warrior’ style back. That’s horrifying! I hated it the first time around. I may wear leggings or a silver lamet top, but that’s about it. My hair and make-up will definitely be toned down.”

But Smyth will never live down her 80s style, especially around her six kids and husband, tennis legend John McEnroe.

She’s brought copies of “The Warrior” music video to her kids’ classrooms and everyone – including herself – gets a laugh out of her get-up.

She says, “My kids give me sht sometimes, but then I find my daughters raiding my closet for 80s stuff to wear.”
