Rue McClanahan Is Still A Man Magnet

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actress Rue McClanahan hasn’t lost her touch with the opposite sex – in fact, she’s still a man magnet.

McClanahan – best known for playing oversexed Blanche Devereaux on The Golden Girls – stars as a sweet, religious, Texas woman on Sordid Lives: The Series, but her character, Peggy, won’t be innocent for long.

McClanahan assures that Peggy, will undergo a “transformation” and let her hair down.

She explains, “She gets pretty sexually wild later on. It’s very exciting!”

While the role sounds like a repeat of Blanche, McClanahan assures it’s not.

She says, “They’re both looking for love, but Blanche never really finds it, and Peggy finds it with a married man.”

Though she’s not like either character in real life, McClanahan still gets lots of male attention.

She says gay men love The Golden Girls and always tell her they want to be just like Blanche.

Sordid Lives: The Series premieres on Logo this Wednesday (Jul. 23).
