Air Guitar Champ Gets Patriotic With Rock ‘N’ Booze

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – U.S. Air Guitar Champ William Ocean is rockin’ out in honor of America – and things are going to get wild.

Today (Jul. 4), Ocean will play a Fourth Of July show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York alongside Mr. Brownstone, a big-haired Guns N’ Roses tribute band.

While Mr. Brownstone plays GnR classics like “Welcome To The Jungle” and “Paradise City,” Ocean will be on stage having a guitar duel with the band’s Slash character.

Ocean also plans to air guitar to his own Hootie and the Blowfish meets Pantera medley, crowd surf, and perform his signature trick, the “front-flip can-crush maneuver,” where he places a can on stage and crushes it with his back by flipping on top of it.

The crazy musicians will celebrate America’s 232nd birthday by attempting to play a 232-minute set and drink 232 ounces of Jack Daniels, because, in Ocean’s words, “It’s our patriotic duty. Rock ’n’ roll and Jack Daniels – that’s America.”

They’ll be drinking the booze out of a trough backstage, which should give Ocean the balls to do one more thing: For the encore, he plans to come out on stage sporting a tight American flag Speedo.
