‘Friday Night Lights’ Actor Gets Freaky

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Being a horror actor takes plenty of stamina – and powerful pipes.

Just ask Jesse Plemons – best known for his role on Friday Night Lights – who’s starring on Thursday’s (Jun. 5) premiere episode of Fear Itself, a suspense and horror anthology series on NBC.

This is Plemons’ first foray into the horror genre, and he was surprised at just how tough and draining thrills and chills acting is.

His episode took eight days to film, and he says the experience required non-stop energy.

He explains, “Creating something scary in eight days is not an easy process. I can’t even imagine doing a full- length movie where you’re screaming and freaked out for months at a time.”

Plemons says his most difficult challenge during Fear Itself was keeping up his endurance so he could complete all of the screaming, “high-intensity,” and “high- emotion” scenes without pooping out.

He adds, “My character is scared out of his mind the entire time, so it was tough. I have a newfound respect for the horror genre.”
