De La Fuente known for his highly successful career in Chilean television and recent stint on Dancing With The Stars stars in the new USA Network series In Plain Sight, in which he plays a minor league baseball player.
Although De La Fuente grew up with soccer instead of baseball in his native Chile, he still enjoys Americas pastime and was happy to look convincing playing ball on camera.
He explains, I grew up loving sports but Id never really played baseball. I had to actually play for the show, and I was surprised when it came out looking good on film. I was just happy I hit the ball!
And the more hits De La Fuente batted on the diamond, the more addicting baseball became for him.
He says, You hit the ball once, twice, three times and you get addicted. You just want to keep playing even after they yell, Cut! End Scene! I had to stop and remind myself that I was an actor, not a real baseball player!
In Plain Sight premieres June 1 on the USA Network.
