Lester Holt Is No Indiana Jones

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Investigative journalist Lester Holt has no plans to become the next Indiana Jones.

Holt – the weekend anchor of NBC Nightly News – is hosting a Sci-Fi Channel special, Mystery of the Crystal Skulls, which premieres this Sunday (May 18).

Holt explores the true history of the ancient relics, which are the focus of the new movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls.

Holt admits the jungle journey was a welcome departure from his more serious assignments, but there are a few tiny, terrifying things keeping him from being a true adventure hero.

He says, “I had fantasy moments where I felt like Indiana, wearing khaki in the jungle, diving of cliffs. But I’m a chicken when it comes to critters. In Belize, the critters sounded like roaring lions and screeching monkeys!”

Holt admits it’s “not in the cards” for him to play the Harrison Ford role in an Indiana Jones sequel, as he’s more accustomed to different creature comforts.

He says, “Roughing it for me is a three-star hotel!”
