Tom Mazza, a limo expert who works with the largest fleets of limos in the country, says theres no risky business going on in limos rented by teens on prom night.
It may seem like a stretch, but he says that truly responsible limo drivers who work for reputable companies are good about laying down the limo law for prom-bound teens.
The standard rules are that there are no drugs or booze allowed in the limo, and certainly no sex during the ride.
Mazza says most limo drivers prevent pre-prom sex by taking down the solid divider that closes off the window behind them so they can personally check in on the teens.
While limo drivers can be good prom chaperones, Mazza says theyre not cops, so the real responsibility lies in teens parents.
He suggests parents know details about whos riding in the limo with their kid on prom night, and that they interview potential limo drivers beforehand and look at their references.
