Cris Judd Gets Teary-Eyed On ‘Your Mama Don’t Dance’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actor and choreographer Cris Judd is getting all choked up on the judges panel of Your Mama Don’t Dance.

Judd – who was once married to Jennifer Lopez – is a judge on the dance competition which teams professional dancers with one of their parents as they compete for their big boogie break.

Judd enjoys watching the dancers and their parents bond on the dance floor but admits that the sweet, endearing concept of the show gets him a bit teary-eyed at times.

He explains, “These parents are so devoted to their kids that they’re willing to go on national television with no dance experience just to please them. I get a little emotional during the show, especially when they air the [parent-kid] video packages. I start tearing up, but I stop myself so the camera won’t catch me!”

And while Judd does his best to give the dance duos constructive criticism, he gives the beginner boogiers a break.

He says, “I grade the parents on a curve. I want them to improve, not go ‘Damn, why am I doing this?’ I’m definitely the more generous judge. How could you knock the parents for trying?”

Your Mama Don’t Dance airs Fridays on Lifetime.
