Michael Madsen Wants To Be A Good Guy

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – He’s known for playing terrifying tough guys, but acclaimed actor Michael Madsen wants to bury the hatchet and play nice.

Madsen is starring as a mob boss in the upcoming Spike TV action film Crash & Burn, but even with an impressive history playing violent criminals in Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs, Madsen’s still looking to break out of the bad guy mold.

He says, “I’m only comfortable with the criminal roles because nobody will let me play anything else.”

In fact, Madsen’s role as a boxer in the 2007 drama Strength and Honour is a real knockout for him and his critical kids.

Madsen – who has six boys – says, “My kids aren’t impressed watching their dad in a movie, but my 10- year-old son has a poster of Strength and Honour on his wall. He loves it. And I’m really proud of it – I’d like to stay in that direction if I can.”

Crash & Burn airs this Sunday (Mar. 30) on Spike TV.
