Pint-Sized Politicians Campaign For Comedy

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One cartoon show is poking a “lil’” fun at our current president while it still can.

Lil’ Bush is an animated show that follows prepubescent versions of “Lil’ [George W.] Bush,” “Lil’ [Dick] Cheney,” and “Lil’ Condi [Condoleezza Rice],” as they tackle topics like the Iraq war, Al Qaeda, and communism.

Creator Donick Cary – who’s written for the Late Show with David Letterman and The Simpsons – insist his political parody, now in its second season, has two tough acts to follow.

Cary says, “Recently, it’s like Bush is saying, ‘I only have a little time left,’ and he’s going nuts. I don’t think we can out-crazy him. Plus, we’re on after South Park, so it’s hard to go too far.”

When it comes to the actual president, Cary says his lil’ version has one big advantage.

He says, “Lil’ Bush definitely has a better sense of humor. He’s got better writers!”

Season two of Lil’ Bush premieres this Thursday (Mar. 13) on Comedy Central.
