Ziggy Marley Lays Low

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Don’t expect Ziggy Marley to be the talk of the tabloids.

That’s the tune from Ziggy – son of reggae legend Bob Marley – who, when not touring the world, admits he follows the family tradition of making positive music without any pressure.

Ziggy says, “I’m a very private person. I’m not Britney Spears, you won’t see my face all over the place.”

The reggae singer got his private nature from Daddy Marley, and even recounts a time as a boy in Jamaica when he and his family picked up a hitchhiker in their Volkswagen van, and the passenger didn’t recognize his famous father.

And now that Ziggy is relaxing from his recent 160-city world tour – documented on his new DVD, Love Is My Religion – he’s found time to relax and focus on normal, everyday events.

He says, “I’ve been working out, and watching news about the election. I’d really like to see a woman in office.”

Love Is My Religion hits stores Tuesday (Feb. 12).
