‘Scrubs’ Duo Dreams About Their Favorite Jokes

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Scrubs may be coming to an end this season, but star Zach Braff and executive producer Bill Lawrence will never forget some of their favorite jokes from the show.

For Lawrence, his “favorite Scrubs joke ever” involves a scene with series actress Sarah Chalke, funnyman John McGinley, and some lipstick.

Lawrence explains, “Elliot [Chalke] is putting on bright red lipstick and asks Dr. Cox [McGinley], ‘Does this lipstick make me look like a clown?’ Dr. Cox says, ‘No, it makes you look like a prostitute who caters exclusively to clowns.’ That joke makes me laugh every time. I love it because Elliot looks so sad after that comment.”

Braff admits it’s tough to choose his favorite moment on Scrubs, but says the string of episodes he’s directed hold a special place in his heart because he was “so invested in them.”

But as far as Scrubs dream sequences go, Lawrence and Braff agree that there’s one weird fantasy scene they love watching over and over again.

Lawrence says, “It’s a dream where Turk [Donald Faison] and Carla [Judy Reyes] raise a pumpkin as if it were their baby. It’s hilarious!”

Braff adds, “I love that sequence. It’s very stoner- iffic.”

The final season of Scrubs premieres October 25 on NBC.
