Alec Baldwin Takes His Comedy Too Far On ‘30 Rock’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Alec Baldwin may be hilarious on NBC’s Emmy Award-winning series 30 Rock, but even he takes the jokes a little too far on the set once in a while.

Baldwin – who plays wacky boss Jack Donaghy on the hit comedy created by Saturday Night Live alumna Tina Fey – says part of the appeal of 30 Rock is that it’s “nutty” and that he gets to crack jokes all day with co-stars like Tracy Morgan and Jack McBrayer.

Says Baldwin: “Everybody is a little nuts, but we try to keep them nuts in a certain window, a certain range. But sometimes I do go too far [with the jokes], because of how great the writers are and how funny the material is.”

And while Baldwin enjoys being in the comedic spotlight, he’s happy to share it with his co-stars to keep the show funny and interesting.

He adds, “We want everyone [on the show] to have some interaction with everybody else because the more you have people coming in and playing their little notes, the better.”

Season two of 30 Rock premieres Thursday (Oct. 4) on NBC.
