Plush Microbe Company Gives Customers The Clap

STAMFORD, Conn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you’re unsure what to get your grandma for her birthday, give her gonorrhea!

That’s the diseased dish from, a company in Stamford, Connecticut, that produces infectiously fun plush creatures in the shape of microscopic maladies like the Clap, Venereal, Kissing Disease, and the Common Cold.

But while playing with stuffed STDs is fun, founder Drew Oliver makes sure his microbes are informative while still being gross.

Oliver explains, “These are the kinds of things that will catch people’s attention, and the label they come with isn’t much different than a book on disease.”

Oliver says that while most of the buyers are disease-free, people do get a sick kick out of giving their friends a friendly dose of herpes or chlamydia.

And who knows – if you’re lucky, you might get VD for Valentines Day!
