Prohibition Party Pushes For Presidency

VASHON ISLAND, Wash. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – In the next presidential election, one candidate knows he’s not the toast of the town.

Gene Amondson is the chairman of the Prohibition Party, and while he’s the party’s candidate in ’08, Amondson’s not drunk with power.

He says, “We only have about 20 members. We don’t expect to beat Mrs. Clinton, but we want to get our message out there.”

That message includes the right to bear arms, more secure borders, and, of course, the banning of booze.

Amondson says, “Everything thaT’s wrong with America goes back to Budweiser. No country with alcohol can function responsibly. Responsible drinking is like teaching a pig to eat with a spoon.”

Amondson believes Americans, fed up with drunk driving deaths, will order another round of prohibition in the future, but he offers a less sobering insight into his own wild party.

Amondson says, “If we fought the liquor industry as much as we fight ourselves, there’d be no alcohol in the country!”
