Voight who currently stars in Transformers and Bratz has another film coming out called September Dawn, about a renegade Mormon group, which he filmed with the help of some four-legged friends.
Voight explains, The film is set in 1857, and we spent a lot of time shooting outdoors, with horses and all sorts of wildstock.
During the shoot, Voight got horse riding tips from some rough and tough cowboys that, admittedly, were pretty intimidating.
Says Voight: These guys were chuckwagon racers that worked with thoroughbreds, so they were pros when it came to horses. They taught me to ride a wagon and the whole time I was worried about messing up in front of them. There was definitely some pressure!
But between takes, Voight enjoyed some relaxed riding too.
He adds, Wed have lunch outside and then Id ride a horse back to the lot with the wranglers. Ive always loved horses, so it was great.
September Dawn hits theaters August 24.
