Dave Navarro’s Tabloid Past Gets Guests Talking

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Rocker Dave Navarro is using his own wild ways to take an axe to the tired talk show format.

Navarro, who hosts Spread Entertainment, a live Internet talk show on ManiaTV.com, is fed up with traditional selfish talk show hosts who use their guests to promote their own careers.

Navarro says, “This show is not a stepping stool for me. It’s not a Dave Navarro springboard.”

Instead of boosting his own ego, Navarro relates to his guests through honesty, friendship, and his own experiences as a tabloid target.

Navarro says, “I had Janice Dickinson on the show and we’re a lot alike. We’ve been friends for a long time, we were both judges on a reality show, and we’ve both been the subject of tabloid fodder. That got her to drop her tough chick act.”

And it was his drugging days that helped crack the ice with notorious knucklehead Andy Dick.

Says Navarro, “We talked about our battles with drug addiction. It was a peer-to-peer conversation, rather than the usual talk show interview. I could give a f about that.”

Spread Entertainment airs nightly on Maniatv.com
