Credence Clearwater Rocker Keeps It Classic

AUSTIN, Texas (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The original 1970’s rock band Credence Clearwater Revival broke up decades ago, but bassist Stu Cook still loves “revisiting” the band’s classic jams.

Cook, along with former Credence Clearwater Revival (CCR) drummer Doug “Cosmo” Clifford, have their own rock band called Credence Clearwater Revisited, and they’ve been performing live CCR hits for audiences since 1995.

And while the days of 70’s CCR concerts are long gone, Cook still knows how to rock out to the classics for the fans during concerts.

Says Cook: “It’s easy to put on a kick ass show because after all these years, people still go crazy over our music and know all the words to the songs. It’s hard not to smile when people go nuts when we sing “Down On The Corner.”

But devoted, long-time fans aren’t the only rock-lovers that attend Cook’s concerts and keep him playing the timeless tunes.

Cook explains, “For years we’ve seen three generations of fans at our shows, including kids that weren’t even born when CCR first formed. It’s so satisfying to see our music crossing generations and giving parents and kids something to agree on. The energy from the younger crowd mixed with the older fans really drives our concerts!”

Credence Clearwater Revisited kicks off their summer tour this Wednesday (July 4).
