Styx Band Members Share Their Tour Bus Habits

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The classic rock band Styx has been together for decades, but the guys still can’t stand some of each other’s annoying tour bus habits.

That’s the note being sung by guitarist Tommy Shaw and bassist Ricky Phillips, who admit their bandmates’ bus behavior can get pretty nasty sometimes.

Says Phillips: “Some of the guys bite their toenails on the bus, which is really gross, and some of us do other things that are far too private and disgusting to share!”

But Shaw’s pet peeves stem from not being able to move around freely on the tour bus.

Shaw explains, “I never choose a specific seat on the bus because I like to walk around, but it’s very common for people to plop down in the first seat they find and stay there for the entire tour and maybe even their entire career. I hate being confined to one area on the bus – I’d rather check out the views from different angles!”

And while the guys have different personal habits, they all agree when it comes to watching comedy and action movies on the bus.

Shaw adds, “We love comedies with Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, and Steve Carell, and movies where things blow up. We like to laugh and watch guys kicking ass because it helps us unwind.”
