Artist Has A Sweet Tooth For Jesus

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – An artist in New York has a sweet tooth for chocolate – especially if it’s in the form of Jesus Christ.

Multimedia artist Cosimo Cavallaro has just created an anatomically correct, 6-foot tall sculpture of Jesus made out of milk chocolate.

The artist admits he was sweet on the idea because he’s both a “fan of chocolate and Jesus.”

The sugary Savior is made out of 150 pounds of chocolate and took Cavallaro one month to make since he had to create a plaster mold and then pour the chocolate into it.

Luckily, Cavallaro says the chocolate was flexible and easy to sculpt with and adds, “If you mess up you can eat your mistake.”

However, Cavallaro admits the hardest part of making the holy statue was the temptation along the way.

Says Cavallaro: “I got hungry a lot and nibbled away at Jesus. But where I nibbled is between me and him. My starving artist friends also tried to eat Jesus a couple times.”

Cavallaro’s Jesus art will be on display starting Monday (April 2) in a New York gallery.
