Yoko Ono: ‘Yes, I’m A Witch’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Yoko Ono has been called a “Dragon Lady” for supposedly breaking up the Beatles, but she prefers to be called a witch instead.

That’s the word from Ono, who argues that witches are not as bad as people say and doesn’t mind if people think she’s a witch herself.

Ono says she doesn’t agree with the negative connotation given to witches when really, they are “just as beautiful as anyone else.”

Says Ono: “I don’t understand why witches, who are women, are villainously depicted while wizards, who are men from the same realm, are usually glorified. It just doesn’t make sense.”

She adds, “Witches are wonderful so I don’t care if I’m called one.”

Ono will have her chance to discuss what it’s like to be called a witch when her new remix album titled – what else? – Yes, I’m A Witch, debuts February 20.
