‘Deliverance’ Villain Squeals At All The Negative Attention

CANTON, N.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Some people hope God will deliver them from evil, but not one of the hillbillies who made Ned Beatty squeal in the 1972 flick Deliverance.

In fact, Herbert “Cowboy” Coward is making a comeback of sorts by playing a hick villain in an upcoming movie called Ghost Town, which is scheduled to premiere in 2007.

Coward – who says he’s a “total ham” – is squealing with excitement to get back in the saddle with Deliverance costar Bill McKinney and admits being evil isn’t too much of a stretch.

Although you might get tired of always being recognized as a sodomy-loving hillbilly, Coward says he doesn’t mind.

In fact, he loves the attention.

Says Coward: “I get recognized at grocery stores all the time so I always carry pictures around with me and give autographs and have people ask me questions.”
