Goodness, Gracious Great Balls Of Rubber

EUGENE, Ore. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A rubber band enthusiast from Eugene, Oregon, hopes to break the world record for the biggest rubber band ball tomorrow (Nov. 21) in Chicago.

His name is Steve Milton and he says he started knotting bands together with his 6 year-old son about a year ago at his office.

Says Milton: “It was something to do together to get away from the TV and videogames.”

Milton says he realized he was onto something when they had to move the ball out of the living room and into the garage.

As Milton puts it, “Once it reached 600 pounds, we just kept going.”

Now, the father-son duo hope their ball has want it takes to beat the current record of 3,120 pounds – and Milton isn’t sweating it since he predicts his will weigh in at more than 4,000 pounds.
