Just Call Zach Braff ‘Doctor McWeenie’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Although Grey’s Anatomy is one of the highest rated TV shows, the producers of Scrubs still feel that laughter – not sex – is the best medicine.

That’s the word from executive producer Bill Lawrence and actor Zach Braff who say Scrubs is “staying true to its comedic genre” with its sixth season, which premieres November 30.

Says Lawrence: “Our show is in the same time slot as Grey’s Anatomy, and we could always add more sex and drama to compete, but I think our fans would miss our crazy ways.”

Braff says if he attempted to compete with Patrick Dempsey, better known as “Doctor McDreamy,” he would change his name to “Doctor McWeenie” and throw himself into numerous love triangles on Scrubs.

Braff jokes, “I think the ultimate love triangle would include me, the lawyer and the janitor.”

Lawrence adds if there were going to be a Scrubs and Grey’s Anatomy crossover episode, it would feature Braff “staring deep into McDreamy’s eyes.”

Says Lawrence: “Zach and McDreamy do have similar hairstyles. Maybe we’d have an episode where they wake up one morning and style their hair together.”
