Thats the word from a cancer expert in Vancouver, who claims scary costumes, junk food and the stress of kids taking candy from strangers can lead to cancer in both adults and children.
Dr. Laurence Magne says the cancer cells accumulate season after holiday season and can spring up on any weak spot on the body.
Says Magne: The focus of the holiday is chainsaws and scary movies our subconscious starts to tell us that the world isnt safe and that causes more stress, which heightens adrenaline.
Magne also says eating chocolate with milk and preservatives can also cause cancerous cells.
To avoid cancer, Magne says kids should stay away from gory and scary costumes and instead laugh and watch the Marx Brothers.
As she puts it, Instead of focusing on murders and chainsaws, focus on dressing up and laughing a lot.
