Amy Lee Isn’t All Doom And Gloom

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – As the front woman of Evanescence, Amy Lee is the poster girl for gothic angst.

But the singer admits she isn’t depressed all the time.

Lee says she’s a “normal goofball” when she isn’t “releasing baggage into music” and loves to act silly.

Says Lee: “I’m not always dressed in black or serious – the band and I have all sorts of jokes and laugh a lot.”

She says writing songs is her form of therapy, so she needs to unwind after spilling her heart and letting her life be “an open book to the world.”

In fact, the silly songstress likes to let loose by rocking out to Peter Gabriel whenever she has time to dance around her room in her spare time.

But it doesn’t look like she’ll be getting any spare time soon. Evanescence releases its second album, The Open Door, on Tuesday (Oct. 3) and starts its North American tour in Toronto next Thursday (Oct. 5).
