Crispin Glover Uses ‘Angels’ Hair Fetish To Fund Personal Projects

SILVERLAKE, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Quirky character actor Crispin Glover says he has no problem funding his more personal projects with blockbuster roles in the Charlie’s Angels films.

Currently, Glover is on a five-city tour, offering what he calls a “Big Slide Show,” a book-signing and Q&A session, and a screening of his indie directorial debut, What Is It?.

But the film – which uses actors with Down Syndrome to tell a story that doesn’t have anything to do with the disorder – was partly funded by his role in Angels.

As Glover puts it: “I was worried about that role, because I did take it to make the money, but I really wanted the hair fetish parts to make it into the final cut, as well – though that was out of my hands.”

But all the hair fetish takes, to Glover’s delight, were left in – and he says one result has been offers for more lucrative roles.

As he puts it: “It’s actually opened me up to being MORE flexible, believe it or not.”
