Kenan Thompson Studies ‘Hip-Hop Rappers’ Culture For ‘Snakes On A Plane’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Audiences expect lovably large actor Kenan Thompson to be funny and facetious – though he claims to be sinking his teeth into method acting these days.

Thompson is best known as the lead role in the movie version of Fat Albert and for his hip, sarcastic characters on Saturday Night Live – but he says playing a “member of a rapper’s entourage” in the upcoming thriller, Snakes On A Plane, required him to shed his cultural skin – wink, wink.

As research, Thompson says he “did a lot of study on the hip-hop rappers” culture, which he claims he didn’t know anything about because, as he puts it: “I listen to country music, myself.”

But, he adds: “Surprisingly, this internet thing came in pretty handy – someone’s going to make some cash off that thing.”

Snakes slithers into theaters Friday (Aug. 18).
