Pine Ridge, South Dakota, A Hotbed Of Bigfoot Activity

PINE RIDGE, South Dakota (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You may have reservations about the existence of Bigfoot, but they don’t on the Lakota Sioux Pine Ridge Reservation in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

In recent weeks, the reservation has been a hotbed for Bigfoot sightings, including one early Tuesday morning (Aug. 3) by a woman who called police to complain about her barking dog and a “distinctive bad odor.”

There was also a sighting on July 28, when eyewitnesses say they saw a very tall individual peeking into windows.

Cryptozoologist Loren Coleman, who has been covering the case for, says Bigfoot sightings are so common on the reservation that the hairy creature is called “Chiye- tanka,” which is Lakota for “The Big Man.”

He also says that the local police are so convinced the creature is Bigfoot that they are referring to him by name in their reports rather than the more generic term, “individual.”

No one knows exactly why Bigfoot sightings are on the rise, but Coleman suspects forest fires and record high temperatures in the region may be forcing the creature from his normal haunts.
