Board Games Guru Gives Foxworthy’s ‘Redneck’ The Cold Shoulder

PHILADELPHIA (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You might be a redneck if: You’re still not sure how to play blue-collar comedian Jeff Foxworthy’s new board game, You Might Be A Redneck If...

At least, that’s the opinion of one expert on board games, Erik Szabo, president and expert consultant for Board Games Express.

According to Szabo, Foxworthy’s redneck jokes are the “only real point of the game,” something “that’s a joyful aspect to share” – but demands very little skill or strategy.

It’s basically a game of chance with hick jokes.

Szabo puts it this way: “It’s designed so it doesn’t matter who wins, really.”

He says if anyone’s offended by the redneck themes in the game, they should know worse games are out there.

In Szabo’s words: “There was actually a game called Ghettopoly – like Monopoly in the ghetto – and that was actually banned by the government because of all the offensive things in it.”
