Kim Jong Il: Dictator, Tyrant, Alcoholic

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Dealing with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il could drive anyone to drink – especially himself.

In fact, addiction expert Doug Thorburn says Il’s megalomaniacal behavior and control freak nature suggests he’s an alcoholic – and his attempt to fire a nuclear missile on July 4 only confirms it.

As he puts it, “Only an alcoholic would thumb his nose at the most powerful nation in the world.”

Thorburn says alcoholism promotes “power-seeking misbehaviors” and that most dictators and despots have some chemical dependency, but “most historians don’t dig deep enough” to report them.

However, he says you don’t have to dig deep to figure out Il is an alkie. In fact, in 2000, he bragged to a South Korean official that he “was a much better drinker.”

Although some diplomats might want to try and negotiate with Il, Thorburn believes he’s so brain-damaged from booze that “he’s capable of anything EXCEPT rational dialogue.”
