Cher And Cher Alike Expected To Attend The 4th Biennial Cher Convention

LOS ANGELES, (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – “The Beat Goes On” for Cher lovers starting July 8 in Los Angeles when the 4th biennial Cher Convention takes place.

Events include a “Cher-a-thon” performance of Cher impersonators, including two males who sing, talk, and look like Cher – complete with gaudy dresses and high heels.

Other celebrity impersonators in the show will include Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin, and of course Cher’s former babe – the late Sonny Bono.

Other events will include a Cher Karaoke Contest, where anyone can sing their heart out to Cher songs. Event coordinator Kim Werdman confirms that “‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ is the most popular Cher song for this event.”

There will also be a poetry reading featuring poems written about Cher, a museum of memorabilia and an auction of goodies devoted to the entertainer.

Although Cher won’t be there in person, Werdman says she’s donated signed CD’s and other tour artifacts for the auction – along with holograms and clothes she’s actually worn.

The Cher Convention will donate all proceeds to the Children’s Craniofacial Association/ Cher Charity Foundation.
