Father’s Day A Real ‘Mutha’ For Transsexuals

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Father’s Day falls on June 18 and it will be a real “mutha” for a transsexual in Arizona.

Donna Rose spent the first 40 years of her life as “David” – and won wrestling tournaments and even fathered a son – before deciding become a woman six years ago.

Rose says there “are not enough words to explain” the role she plays in her son’s life to curious strangers and that, despite her feminine appearance, she will always be his dad.

As a result, Rose prefers not to celebrate Mother’s Day because she doesn’t want to make her ex-wife uncomfortable and points out that “you only get one mom.”

As she puts it, “I like to focus on celebrating the people who love you and not defining it by a certain day.”

While Rose does admit she wouldn’t mind a Father’s Day card from her 20-year-old son, she says the odds are slim because “he hardly remembers birthdays, let alone smaller holidays.”
