Political Activist Spreading His Message Through Ice Cream

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Traditional ice cream truck jingles are getting a modern-day makeover thanks to one political activist.

Aaron Gach is trying to spread his views on tactical magic – a philosophy that combines art, magic and politics – by handing out free treats in his “Tactical Ice Cream Unit.”

The truck mixes current hip hop hits and classic Foreigner songs with standard ice cream ditties such as “Pop Goes the Weasel,” and is stocked with equal parts ice cream and progressive literature.

As he puts it, “You get to swallow ice cream with your politics.”

Gach offers 13 different treats, including a popsicle called “Da Bomb,” coffee-flavored “Power Pops” and vegan friendly snacks.

The ice cream activist started his campaign last year in Kansas and is currently in San Diego as part of a west coast swing.

Gach hopes to build a fleet, and while his first truck has received several complaints from suspicious folks, he claims he’s had no major incidents with police.

In fact, Gach says “they usually leave with an ice cream in their hands” once they hear his position.
