Staind Singer Says Guns The Least Of His Juvenile Delinquencies

LUBBOCK, Tex. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One of America’s most loved modern rock stars thanks God he was a country boy.

Aaron Lewis, lead singer-songwriter of the emo-metal band Staind admits he fans might be surprised to learn that he’s “a hick” who has “...always been a hick – country through and through.”

Lewis says when he’s not penning multi-platinum songs about pain, betrayal and dysfunctionality, he’s “hunting and fishing as much as possible.”

As he puts it, “In fact, growing up, hunting and fishing with my family was one of the only times I was NOT getting in trouble.”

Lewis argues that being a kid with a gun was not inherently dangerous for him, adding: “We have a problem not with guns, but with pulling the trigger without thinking about the consequences in this country.”

Lewis and Staind are currently headlining the Jagermeister Music Tour. Their latest release is 2005’s Chapter V.
