This Friday (Mar. 17), comedian and singer Lindy Loo will be hosting a St. Patricks Day Hillbilly Hayride at a bar called Hanks Saloon.
Of course theres not enough space for a real hayride, but if someone wants one, Loo says organizers will take a foldable wheelchair, put a little hay in it and Cousin Frankie will push em around the block.
She says the night will include a capella singing kind of like in Irish bars; a raffle for a Leprechaun doll she believes the crowd will go mental for; live country music accompanied by the free instruments combs and wax paper passed out to guests; and a quick history of country and rockabilly traced back to Ireland.
The Irish-themed evening will be rounded out by a Polish dance groups performance. Loo admits, We couldnt get Riverdancers so theyre gonna do a Riverklompf for us.
