Mohammed T-Shirt Maker Receives Death Threats

UPLAND, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A California-based T-shirt maker that lit a fuse under Muslims by reprinting a Mohammed newspaper cartoon on a shirt says he has received death threats since printing the clothing items.

Dan Jordan, CEO of the clothing company, says he’s received hundreds of e-mails, many threats from Muslims with statements like, In two days we kill your family, and at least one claiming to be from Al Qaeda saying, You only have 5 days and your company will disappear. I promise!

Jordan says some of the messages are not threatening, but politely ask him to remove the image from his site and stop selling the shirts. He says he has no plans to do either.

He has contacted the FBI which is now investigating the threats.

Jordan says he’s wasn’t afraid of reprisal when he first started selling the shirts and he’s still not. He adds that there have been a good number of e-mails and phone calls supporting him too.
