Designer Takes Squirt Guns Indoors

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you grew up playing with things like Rubik’s Cubes and squirt guns, why not decorate your home with the things that made you happy as a kid?

That’s what designer Mario Marsicano asks. His New York- based home furnishings company, Jellio, offers “big kid”-friendly items like coasters from old Viewmaster reels, Rubik’s Cube-inspired tables and square panels of brightly colored squirt guns.

Marsicano admits, “I’m really into squirt guns.” He once constructed a squirt gun fountain – which can be seen on the website – but admits, “I probably won’t make one of those again.”

One of Jellio’s hot-selling items is a silver four-by- four-foot wall sculpture “based on the old model car kit that always had three or four pieces left over,” called TURBO.

Marsicano is also fond of a flower pot that looks like the trousers and suspenders from the game Ants in the Pants.

He jokes, “It’s what all of us ADD kids played with before Ritalin.”
