Incredible Hulk Joins LA County Sheriff’s Department

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The streets of Los Angeles County will be a little safer when former Mr. Universe and Incredible Hulk stunt man Lou Ferrigno joins the Los Angeles County Reserve Deputy Sheriff’s department.

Ferrigno is scheduled to be deputized on Monday (Feb. 13), when he’ll be sworn in wearing a full uniform, hat, badge and gun.

The Hulk began training back in September 2005 and says police work is another passion of his, besides acting and body building.

He says police work is in his blood: His father was a police officer.

Ferrigno won’t exactly be tackling bad guys on the streets of Los Angeles. He says he’ll be working with abused and drug-addicted kids as well as aiding in recruiting other deputies.

And he’s still continuing with acting. He has a recurring role on King of Queens, which he’ll appear in next month.
