The World’s Smallest Record Player Gets Blinged Out

TOKYO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – What’s better than a tiny, motorized Volkswagen van that drives around a record churning out music? The exact same thing, iced out in crystals, of course.

A Japanese company called Razy Works produces the mini Volkswagen – called “Vinyl Killer” – equipped with a motor, amplifier, speaker and needle.

Company director Reijin Fukao praises the technology because, “You can listen to music anywhere and you don’t need to buy a turntable.”

A normal version of the self-running record player costs around $70, but a limited bling-bling edition covered in Swarovski crystals is available for $500.

Fukao points out, “Everyone thinks the Vinyl Killer is not expensive to make, but all the parts are from Japan...not China!”

There are currently 50 bling-bling models, but Fukao says he’s about to produce more using pink and black crystals.

He’s also been contacted by Snoop Dogg to collaborate on a special edition Vinyl Killer, and in that case, they may change the car model to “a Hummer or a Cadillac.”
